A milestone in the integration of the field equipment and control room systems is the SAMSON smart positioner. These devices enable communication and troubleshooting during operation via the HART or PROFIBUS protocols. The SAMSON product line also includes solenoid valves which override automatically the valve to a predetermined position, limit switches which issue signals when a predetermined value is reached, lockup valves which hold the valve in its last position in case of an energy failure, volume amplifiers which boost the input signal of positioners and a broad range of service units which provides high quality supply air. Type 3730-0 The Type 3730-0 is the low-cost positioner version for all globe valves. The characteristic features, e.g. the travel range, are adjusted using switches. |

Type 3730-1 The Type 3730-1 be can combined with globe valves or any valve with rotating closure member. An automatic start-up routine is available for easy start-up. |

Type 3730-2 The Type 3730-2 can be conveniently operated and configured on site using the rotary pushbutton. Turn and push the button to select all menus required for parameterization. Alternatively, the positioner can be configured using TROVIS-VIEW. |

Type 3730-3 The Type 3730-3 supports communication using the HART protocol. It offers the same functionality as the Type 3730-2. The positioner can be used together with various software tools, such as FDT/DTM, DD, AMS or PDM. |

Type 3730-5 The Type 3730-5 Positioner communicates over FOUNDATIONTM Fieldbus. All other features are the same as in the Type 3730-2 Postioner. The positioner is a smart, bus-powered field device conforming to FOUNDATIONTM Fieldbus specifications with IEC 61158-2 transmission technology. A process controller and Link Master functionality are integrated in the device. |

Type 3731-3 The Type 3731-3 Positioner is protected by a rugged, explosion-proof enclosure. The positioner is intrinsically safe, has a low power consumption, and is easy to configure. All other features are the same as in the Type 3730-3 Postioner. |

Type 3766/67 The single-acting or double-acting positioners for pneumatic control valves belong to the classics in the SAMSON product range. Already proven in thousands of applications, they provide safety in processes. The Type 3766 Positioner uses a pneumatic standardized signal of 0.2 to 1 bar (3 to 15 psi) as the reference variable and the Type 3767 Positioner uses an electric standardized signal from 4(0) to 20 mA or 1 to 5 mA. The positioners cover a travel range from 7.5 mm to 120 mm or, alternatively, opening angles up to 90°. |
