	A Globe Valve with Modular Design Allows for quick deliveries from stock, due to common parts between various valve sizes. Ultra-Low Profile Low Overall Weight

	A Globe Valve with Unique Plug, Seat and Packing Design Straight-threaded seat design requires no gaskets, cage or sealants resulting in less spare parts and lower friction. Only 4 parts required to rebuild the valve: seat, plug, body gasket and packing. Maintenance free, self adjusting PTFE V-ring packing is standard. Overtightening the packing is not a possibility. Plug stems are "Roller Burnished” not polished, burnishing is a mechanical hardening process. The rollers actually push the “high part of the peaks down, which raises the valleys up” of the stem surface which gives us a much harder and smother stem. Burnishing improves the surface finish, surface hardness, wear-resistance, fatigue and corrosion resistance. This gives our Teflon packing a much longer life.

	A Globe Valve with a Compact Actuator Integral attachment of digital/analog or pneumatic positioners eliminates tubing and damage to linkages. Actuator, together with positioner, can be rotated a complete 360°. Field reversible, multi-spring diaphragm actuator allows changing of fail action with no extra parts. Multi-spring actuator reduces height and weight of valve.

	Many materials to choose from. The 3241 Globe Control Valve is available in various standard materials, including cast iron, brass, stainless steel, and forged stainless steel, as well as exotic alloys such as monel, hastelloy, titanium and others. Pictured at right is a Forged 3241 Globe Control Valve with bellows and an integrated positioner. Samson also offers positioners with Stainless Steel cases for corrosive environments. Trims are available in Hardened, Hastelloy C, Monel, Stellite, Ceramic and others. All valve, actuator and positioner fasteners are self-retained stainless steel.

	Available Bellows and Insulating Section Patented, zero-emission, multi-layered bellows technology guarantees a minimum 100,000 full cycles. Samson bellows have the most number of convolutions per square inch which results in less stress and longer life.
